The night kicked off with Jon Moxley & Konosuke Takeshita in an absolute war for the AEW Continental Championship, that ended in a draw after both men wen the full 20 minutes, allowing Moxley to keep the AEW Continental Championship - though Moxley was adamant that he did not consider that a successful defense leaving both men frustrated.

The Babes of Wrath with Australia's very own Harley Cameron, who alongside Willow Nightingale retained the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles against MegaBad, Penelope Ford & Megan Bayne in an instant classic. Babes Of Wrath's celebration were cut off early as they we're attacked by a fellow Australian, Lena Kross - who then aligned herself alongside Mega Bad as they hold both AEW Womens Tag Team Championships & Willow's AEW TBS Championship. It was announced after the match that Lena Kross has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling!

In perhaps the most talked-about moment of the night, The Death Riders own, Marina Shafir & Wheeler Yuta lost the Mixed Tornado Tag Hair Match against Australia's own Toni Storm & Orange Cassidy with Wheeler Yuta being the one who was pinned, leading to Toni Storm and Orange Cassidy shaving his head in front of the Sydney crowd - as a packed out Qudos Bank Arena chanted, Yuta absolutely deserved it.

The road to Revolution went through Grand Slam Australia as Hangman Adam Page put away The Don Callis Family member, Andrade El Idolo in an tense battle over a shot at the AEW World Championship at AEW Revolution on March 5th. As always Don Callis was not the most loved man in Sydney & tried his usual shenanigans to give Andrade the upper hand but Hangman caught Andrade's low blow attempt to return the favour - in which he now will face the winner of Brody King vs MJF at AEW Revolution.

With what could have been stated as the unofficial AEW Grand Slam Main Event - Sydney's own "Protostar" Kyle Fletcher & newly crowned 2-time TNT Champion went to war with Mark Briscoe in a ladder match over the TNT Championship in the 7th meeting in their series!

With the TNT Championship hanging high above the ring, Kyle Fletcher and Mark Briscoe met for the seventh and arguably the most violent chapter of their rivalry, immediately trading strikes before the action spilled to the outside. Briscoe launched himself through the ropes, only for Fletcher to answer with Briscoes first introduction to the steel laddersl. The pace escalated as Fletcher busted out a rare moonsault and repeatedly drove Briscoe into ladders, splitting him open, only for Briscoe to return the favor moments later.

Ladders soon filled the ring and beyond, including a bridge between the apron and another ladder that Briscoe crashed Fletcher through with a Froggy Bow. Fletcher responded with a devastating powerbomb through a ladder, while both men continued exchanging increasingly dangerous shots which le culminated with a Jay Driller through a bridged ladder that left the crowd in utter and pure shock, whilst the Qudos Bank Arena chanted "Please don't die" prior.

Briscoe got a hold of the title, but Fletcher sprang back up onto the ladder to stop Briscoe. He lifted Briscoe over one side of the ladder to the other with a super brainbuster!

In the closing moments, both climbed opposing ladders and fought high above the canvas. Fletcher finally kicked Briscoe down and seized the opening, pulling down the TNT Championship to retain in front of his hometown Sydney crowd after an absolute blood-soaked war!

In the main event, the Sydney crowd erupted as MJF (the most hated man in Australia) defended his "Triple B" AEW World Championship against Brody King.
The champion immediately showed his strategy... survive at any cost. MJF constantly tried to evade King before targeting King’s left leg, slamming it into the post and locking in submissions to chop the bigger man down.

King repeatedly fought back with overwhelming power, launching MJF across the ring and even halfway up the ramp with a dive, but the damaged knee slowed him just enough for MJF to keep control. Brutal exchanges followed with guardrail crashes, a cannonball, and even a Gonzo Bomb that MJF barely survived as the challenger pushed the champion closer to defeat than ever before.

Desperate, MJF resorted to every trick available, biting the injured knee and finally delivering a tombstone on the apron followed by the Heat Seeker to steal the victory and retain the AEW World Title.
But the celebration didn’t last long. “Hangman” Adam Page stormed the ring with his Revolution title contract, signed it in front of the champion, and left MJF shaken as Grand Slam Australia closed with the next world title showdown officially set.
