Grayson Waller Says Australia’s First Male WWE World Champion Is Coming Soon
Grayson Waller believes it won't be long before an Australian man finally captures a WWE World Championship, with the NXT Champion naming himself, Bronson Reed and the next generation of Australian Superstars as potential history makers.

As of this publishing, both Scott Green (Jackson Goonrey) & The Tuckman (Tyran Tuckey) have joined the WWE Performance Centre after making massive waves in the Australian Independant's.
It's safe to say Australians are dominating the world of professional wrestling right now with Zaria recently unifying the WWE Women's Speed Championship with the NXT Women's North American Championship, Rhea Ripley currently sits atop WWE as the Undisputed Women's Champion (although injured), while Grayson Waller has also added another championship to Australia's growing list of achievements, recently capturing the NXT Championship.
While Australian Superstars continue to make their mark on the global stage, there is still one major milestone missing for the country's male wrestlers.
Rhea Ripley made history in 2023 when she became the first Australian to win a WWE World Championship at WrestleMania 39 against Charlotte Flair, but almost three years later, no Australian man has managed to reach the same milestone.
That could be set to change in the coming years, with Grayson Waller believing Australia is getting closer to producing its first male WWE World Champion.
Waller was asked about the possibility of becoming the first Australian man to win a world title, with the Australian Superstar pointing to his own ambitions alongside fellow countryman Bronson Reed.
“Never know, me and Bronson, we're both chasing it,” Waller said.
Both men have made waves this month alone, with Waller recently capturing the NXT Championship at NXT Heatwave, while Reed recently returned from a six-month hiatus due to a severe right distal bicep tear. Reed would attack Oba Femi during his match against his own stablemate, Bron Breakker, at Sunday Night's Main Event.
“Luckily Bronson keeps hurting himself, so that gives me a slight advantage and it might be the only way I get ahead of him to get a chance at that.”
However, Waller isn't limiting Australia's chances to just himself or Bronson Reed, with the recent WWE tryouts back in February seeing The Dropouts, Scott Green & The Tuckman, The Natural Classics, Stevie Filip & Tome Filip, alongside The Example, Ricky South, all attend and reportedly receive incredible feedback.

“I think in the next couple of years that's definitely going to happen,” Waller said.
“I don't know whether it's gonna be me, gonna be Bronson, could be one of the new kids coming up, but I think that's going to change real soon.”
Whether it is Waller, Reed or one of the next generation of Australian Superstars, Waller believes the wait for Australia's first male WWE World Champion won't be much longer.
