Michin Reflects On Career Journey In WWE
WWE 2K26 continues to push its Showcase mode forward, but if Michin had her way, it would lean heavily into hard-hitting rivalries and standout moments from her own career. From spotlighting the newly added Dumpster Match, inspired by her clash with Chelsea Green, to revisiting battles with Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky, Michin’s vision blends real history with dream match potential, giving players a Showcase that feels as gritty and physical as her in-ring style.

Michin has continued to carve out her place as one of WWE’s most hard-hitting and resilient Superstars, from starting her WWE career as Mia Yim in the Mae Young Classic and NXT, through the post-apocalyptic run of Retribution during the pandemic, to aligning herself with The Club and most recently Jade Cargill.
During a recent chat, thanks to WWE Games and 2K, Michin shared her thoughts on CM Punk being the focus of this year’s Showcase, as well as her vision for her own WWE 2K Showcase Mode.
“I’d definitely highlight the Dumpster Match, I know they just added that this year which is really cool, so I would highlight that for sure,” referring to her instant classic with Chelsea Green in late 2024, which can now be replayed in WWE 2K26 with the addition of Dumpster Matches.
Michin Reflects On WWE Career From NXT To WrestleMania 42
WWE 2K26 delivered one of its most compelling Showcase experiences yet, with this year’s mode centred around the career of CM Punk. Blending iconic matches with fantasy “what if” scenarios and even dream matches that could only happen in WWE 2K26, it raises the question we put to WWE Superstar Michin: what would her very own WWE 2K Showcase look like?

“But I think I would also highlight dream matches, some of my favourite matches like with Rhea, with Bianca, with Io, so highlight a couple of those matches.” Michin, known as Mia Yim at the time, was The OC’s answer to then-Judgment Day member Rhea Ripley in 2022, while also sharing the ring with Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair during her NXT run, including the Women’s WarGames match.
Her vision blends both personal moments and fan-service dream scenarios, aligning closely with what has made Showcase mode so popular in recent years.
It’s a simple formula, but one that works, blending real moments that defined her WWE run with the kind of matchups fans still talk about. Between the addition of the Dumpster Match and the rivalries she’s built across NXT and the main roster, Michin’s Showcase although not an actual inclusion, all matches are very much so possible inside of WWE 2K26.
