We are just a few days away from AEW's massive return to Australia and their debut in Sydney for AEW Grand Slam Australia - with the show fast approaching the question has been around what AEW stars and match ups will heading down under to a massive Qudos Bank Arena!
Just last week we had our first match confirmed with "Timeless" Toni Storm & "Freshly Squeezed" Orange Cassidy vs The Death Rider's Marina Shafir & Wheeler Yuta in a Hair vs Hair match, in which whoever takes the fall must shave their head.
From this past weeks AEW Dynamite, the whole AEW Grand Slam Australia card has begun to take shape with some epic star power for Australian pro-wrestling fans, featuring:
MJF vs Brody King - AEW World Championship Match
After MJF was pinned in just under 2 minutes in their recent AEW World Championship Eliminator Match, Brody King has the opportunity of a lifetime to cut MJF's current "Reign Of Terror" very short.
Jon Moxley vs Konosuke Takeshita - AEW Continental Championship Match
Announced during AEW Dynamite shortly after both men were on opposite ends of a trios match as part of the ongoing feud between the Death Riders and the Don Callis Family, they look to regain the championship that Okada lost at AEW Worlds End.
Babes Of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale) vs MegaBad (Penelope Ford & Megan Bayne) - AEW Women's Tag Team Championships
After MegaBad beat the AEW Women's Tag Team Champions of Australia's own Harley Cameron & TBS Champion Willow Nightingale in a Eliminator Match, MegaBad look to spoil Harley Cameron's homecoming in Australia.
"Hangman" Adam Page vs Andrade El Idolo - No. 1 Contender Match for AEW World Championship
After "Hangman" Adam Page beat Australia's own Mark Davis & Andrade El Idolo beat Kenny Omega (with a low blow) - both men will clash at AEW Grand Slam with the winner getting a shot at the AEW World Championship at Revolution.
A few will notice that there are a few stars missing from the above listed matches but are expected to be announced on this upcoming AEW Dynamite:
Kenny Omega vs Swerve Strickland
After Swerve attempted to come to the aid of Kenny Omega during his match with Andrade El Idolo , though ended in Andrade using the accidental distraction to low blow Omega - both will come face to face on this week Dynamite which could lead to a match in Australia.
Kyle Fletcher
With the Aussie "Protostar" missing on the current line up but after a tense showdown with AEW's latest signing, Tommaso Ciampa leading to a AEW TNT Championship match this week on Dynamite - the title could come home to Australia or could remain in the states with Ciampa.
Mark Briscoe
Briscoe has been included in all AEW Grand Slam Australia & House Rules Brisbane posters which still leads us to believe that he will make an appearance in the land down under (although of course subject to change!).
With Mark Briscoe only just recently losing the TNT Championship to Tommaso Ciampa, if Kyle Fletcher can get the job done - we may be looking at a potential rematch from AEW Full Gear 2025.
