United States Champion Trick Williams returned to SmackDown after getting married. "Absolute" Ricky Saints took down Williams and Lil Yachty with a pair of cheap shots en route to WWE Night of Champions.
B-Fab & Michin def. Tiffany Stratton & Alexa Bliss
Jade Cargill emerged to trip Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton as she was jumping to execute the Prettiest Moonsault Ever. Moments later, B-Fab drove the titleholder face-first into the canvas to secure the win.
When The Storm attempted to orchestrate a 3-on-1 attack on Stratton ahead of their WWE Night of Champions title match, Chelsea Green emerged with a Kendo stick to save her ally. Although her weapon got caught in the ropes, she cleared the ring of the opposition.
Rey Fenix def. Nathan Frazier in a AAA Cruiserweight Title Match
LA Knight journeyed to SmackDown to call out Solo Sikoa and find out why he helped The Megastar in his match against Jimmy Uso on Raw. Knight refused to align with Sikoa against The Bloodline.

On the eve of WWE Night of Champions, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes got interrupted by Sami Zayn, Gunther, Jey Uso and Oba Femi. As The Ruler watched, The American Nightmare, Zayn, The Ring General and Uso attacked each other as SmackDown concluded in chaos.
